Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Noam Dar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruno Barzagli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bruno Barzagli is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Bruno Barzagli!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Richard Clark and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barzagli bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Dar's head.
Barzagli fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Dar on the side of the head.
Dar takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Dar fails with a takedown attempt.
Dar is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Barzagli tries to keep at a distance but Dar has taken the fight into the clinch.
Dar's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Barzagli has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Barzagli pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Dar back to the cage. Barzagli follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Barzagli enables Dar to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Barzagli manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Dar is breathing heavily.

Dar works to advance to full mount. Barzagli defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Barzagli tries to control Dar's body but Dar pushes him off. Barzagli squirms to his side and now Dar has his back!

A punch lands to the side of Dar 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Dar looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Dar shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Bruno Barzagli showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Barzagli connects with a good right hand that stumbles Dar. Dar circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Barzagli can do anything to dispel that myth.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dar accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
