Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Allan Coyoca!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lip Ton!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Alexandre Firmino and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coyoca keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ton connects with a good right hand that stumbles Coyoca. Coyoca circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Allan Coyoca seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ton tries to score a power double leg takedown but Coyoca sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ton somewhat.
Ton is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Ton throws out a loose jab but Coyoca uses good head movement to avoid it.
Ton connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Coyoca is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Coyoca tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ton manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Coyoca slips a straight right by Ton.
Coyoca moves out of range as Ton strikes.

and Coyoca counters with a straight right hand.

Coyoca closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ton did well to prevent Coyoca getting side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Ton is looking to control Coyoca's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ton avoid being mounted?
Ton throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Ton is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Coyoca pulls his head out easily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ton tries to roll over but Coyoca keeps him under control.
Ton moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Ton had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Coyoca defends it easily.

Ton has his foot on Coyoca's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Coyoca works his way back into a safe position though.

Coyoca with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Coyoca might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Coyoca makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.


Ton is rocked!

Ton escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Coyoca gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Ton is still in real trouble! Can Coyoca finish him?
Coyoca landing some decent shots from guard.
Coyoca loads up on a big left hand. Ton felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Coyoca looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Ton can't hide his disappointment, as Coyoca celebrates the victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Allan Coyoca!
Lip Ton was interviewed post fight and said 'Congrats to my opponent. He was the better man tonight and I have to give credit, where credits due. I will go back to training and will come back stronger than ever. Thanks for the promotion for the opportunity and the fans for coming out tonight.'.
