Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eldridge Hammond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Walid Tria (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Eldridge Hammond!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Walid Tria!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Albert Achterberg and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tria stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Tria wants it to stay on the feet.

Tria shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hammond manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Hammond manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Tria breaks the clinch.
Tria shoots in for a double leg but Hammond sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Tria moves into the clinch.
Hammond tries to pull guard but Tria forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Hammond tries to pull guard but Tria holds him up against the cage and eventually Hammond drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eldridge Hammond. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Hammond jumps guard.
Tria must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Tria passes Hammond's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Tria is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hammond doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Tria.
Hammond is looking to control Tria's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hammond avoid being mounted?

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hammond is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Tria working for a guillotine from mount but Hammond is in no mood to give up.
Hammond has given up his back here.
Hammond is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Tria is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Tria misses with punches from the back.

Tria lands shots from the back.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Hammond looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

Tria is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Hammond knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Hammond for a finish.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Tria has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Hammond has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Walid Tria dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Tria looking to score a takedown here. Hammond is defending well but Tria drives through and ends up in Hammond's guard.
Tria works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Tria trying to advance position but Hammond counters by regaining guard.
Tria preventing the sweep.
Walid Tria has got the better of the ground game so far.
Hammond is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hammond is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tria is trying to escape back to his feet but Hammond uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Hammond thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Tria is looking to reverse the position.
Tria wants to control but Hammond postures up.
Hammond trying to control the position but Tria is working away.

Tria throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Tria misses with a hook.

Hammond tries to sprawl but Tria drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Tria misses with a head shot. Hammond uses the momentum to regain guard.

Tria drops back, looking for a kneebar! Hammond looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Hammond looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Hammond!

Tria regains half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Tria is trying to get back to full guard.
Hammond really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tria strikes from the bottom but Hammond uses the opportunity to move to side control.
Tria trying to remain calm as Hammond controls from the top position.

Hammond has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Walid Tria seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tria shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hammond as he jumps to the side.

Tria gets a takedown into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Tria is nestled in close to Hammond, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The fighters are battling for position here. Hammond manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Hammond can't keep his opponent in guard - Tria advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Tria stalling.

Walid Tria showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Hammond tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Tria manages to circle out of the way.

Tria closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Tria decides to stand and escape the position.
Tria tries to clinch there but Hammond circles away.

Tria dives in and grabs Hammond's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hammond pushes down on Tria's head and hops out.

Tria tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Hammond holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.
Tria tries to move to mount but Hammond blocks the move with his legs.

Tria is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hammond has escaped the position, nice work there.
Tria is looking to take a break and control but Hammond is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Hammond is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Tria trying to advance position but Hammond counters by regaining guard.
Tria stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hammond swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Tria pushes down on Hammond's leg and manages to get into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Hammond is controlling Tria's trapped leg to prevent Tria from advancing to side control.
Hammond is looking to improve his position.
Tria uses his free foot to push down on Hammond's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Hammond.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Hammond has worked his way to half guard, taking advantage of Tria's lack of action.
Eldridge Hammond has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Walid Tria is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Hammond flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

And that's the end of the fight!
Walid Tria comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Tria winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
