Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Saam Ante and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brichta stuffs the takedown attempt from Fowler. Fowler gets slowly back to his feet.
Brichta gets the takedown into side control.
Brichta working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
An elbow from Brichta crashes against the mat.
Fowler sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brichta content to control rather than advance.

Brichta looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Brichta fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Fowler, pushing him back against the cage.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Fowler is trying to force a seperation but Brichta has the dominant position.
Fowler breaks the clinch.
Fowler blocks a head kick by Brichta.
Brichta looking to score a takedown here. Fowler is defending well but Brichta drives through and ends up in Fowler's guard.
Brichta throws a strike but Fowler rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Fowler won't allow Brichta to sweep him here.
Brichta throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Brichta is adopting a defensive guard.

and Fowler moves into the clinch.
Fowler has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

It looks like Waylon Fowler has been cut.

Brichta is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Fowler is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Fowler has escaped and now he's on top!

Fowler slips a nice elbow through Brichta's hands, connecting with Brichta's forehead.
Fowler is pressing down on Brichta's thigh, looking to free his foot. Brichta is holding on for now.
Fowler looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Brichta has a hand on Fowler's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Fowler takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Fowler lands a big shot there that rocks Brichta but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Brichta is looking to improve his position but Fowler isn't that keen on the idea.

Brichta is breathing heavily.
Brichta bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Fowler really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Fowler pulls Brichta in to control the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Brichta tries to free his leg and advance position but Fowler is retaining full guard.
Fowler wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Fowler will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Brichta gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Waylon Fowler will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Waylon Fowler's cut.
That's time! Fowler's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Brichta has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Fowler finds it's way round the side to connect with Brichta's head.
Fowler gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Brichta to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Brichta loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Fowler has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Brichta can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Brichta wants to free his trapped foot but Fowler is holding on for dear life with his legs.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
It looks like Brichta is going to stand back up.
Fowler manages to get to full guard.

Fowler has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Fowler shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Brichta pinned against the cage. Brichta gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Brichta is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Brichta gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Brichta turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Brichta manages to end up in side control.

Brichta is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Brichta stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fowler swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Brichta takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Brichta is looking to stand up but Fowler won't let him.
And that's the end of the fight!
Leo Brichta comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Brichta has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
