Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Edmond Mcdowell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Konrad Macgrzegorz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Macgrzegorz has chosen Zenek Martyniu - We will rock You as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Edmond Mcdowell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Konrad Macgrzegorz!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Macgrzegorz gets caught napping as Mcdowell dives in and scores a takedown. Macgrzegorz manages to retain guard.

Macgrzegorz has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Mcdowell has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Macgrzegorz jumps guard and drags Mcdowell to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Mcdowell thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Mcdowell drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mcdowell jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Mcdowell is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Macgrzegorz is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Macgrzegorz has escaped and now he's on top!

Macgrzegorz slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Macgrzegorz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mcdowell. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Mcdowell has his foot on Macgrzegorz's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Macgrzegorz works his way back into a safe position though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Macgrzegorz controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Macgrzegorz must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Mcdowell thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Macgrzegorz stays in close to Mcdowell's body and controls the position.
Let's hope that Macgrzegorz has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Macgrzegorz looks to land a left hand but Mcdowell moved out of range nicely.
Mcdowell is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Macgrzegorz.

Mcdowell is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Macgrzegorz defends well.

Macgrzegorz got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mcdowell has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Macgrzegorz has managed to get both his arms back between Mcdowell's legs - danger averted.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Konrad Macgrzegorz spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
