Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Nard Betker and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Welch tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Zek manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Zek pushes Welch away with a front kick.
Zek tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Welch swivels and escapes.
Welch tries to counter by clinching up but Zek breaks away and moves out of range.
Welch throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Zek fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Welch avoids it really well and circles away.
Welch tries to clinch but Zek is having none of it.
It seemed like Zek was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Welch ducks under a wild hook from Zek.
Welch gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Zek has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Welch uses from the top position.

Welch trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Zek is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Zek is looking to stand up but Welch isn't so interested in that idea.
Welch knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Zek on the ground.

Zek has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Welch has passed into side control.
Zek parries the strikes from Welch easily there. Welch is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Zek to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Welch tries for a kimura but Zek is defending well.
Zek is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Welch has just dragged him back down to the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Zek avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Welch.
Welch could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Welch misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Zek is trying to get back to his feet.
Welch in the domination position with Zek hanging on.
Zek is looking to reverse the position.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Zek looks winded!
Zek is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Welch off and has taken his back!

Welch is trying to get back to his feet but Zek has full control of the position and if anything, Welch has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Zek is working the ground and pound. Can Welch escape?
Welch is trying to get to his feet but he's left his neck exposed and Zek manages to sink in a rear naked choke! Great counter grappling by Zek!
