Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lapu Lapu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Bangsit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Andy Bangsit enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lapu Lapu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Andy Bangsit!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Bruno Lombardi and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Lapu. Bangsit does a little dance to reset his feet.
Bangsit wants to clinch but Lapu slips to the side
and Lapu counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Bangsit closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Bangsit in side control, throwing shots but Lapu defends.
Lapu is pushing Bangsit's head away, looking to escape. Bangsit manages to hold on to the position though.
Bangsit throws an elbow but Lapu slips to the side and avoids it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lapu wants to get back to his feet.

Bangsit wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lapu, who protects the arm well.
Lapu definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bangsit looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Lapu is avoiding damage well.

Bangsit is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lapu doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bangsit.

Bangsit is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Lapu is just riding it out for now. Bangsit eventually gives up the hold.

It looked like Lapu wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Lapu - that will leave a mark!
Lapu stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lapu wants it to stay on the feet.
Bangsit slips under a jab from Lapu.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

That was a close round but I would say that Lapu Lapu will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Bangsit shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lapu sprawls well. Lapu wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bangsit gets slowly back to his feet.
Lapu feints and then cracks Bangsit's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Bangsit down.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bangsit uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lapu.

Bangsit changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lapu tries to avoid it but Bangsit manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lapu to the ground. Lapu escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Lapu tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Bangsit jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Lapu is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Lapu and Bangsit has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Bangsit tries to move to mount but Lapu blocks the move with his legs.

Bangsit goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Lapu rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Bangsit's guard! Nice work there by Lapu!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Bangsit doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Bangsit is looking for a triangle but Lapu pushes his legs off easily.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Bangsit throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lapu's waist but Lapu gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bangsit off to one side.
Andy Bangsit has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Lapu Lapu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Lapu Lapu showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Lapu has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
