The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Von Erich lands a jab to Halfhand's midsection.
The crowd cheers as Von Erich lands an impressive looking overhand right. Halfhand doesn't seem phased though.

Von Erich connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Von Erich misses with a looping left.
Halfhand throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Halfhand drops Von Erich with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Von Erich looks back up at him and smiles so Halfhand waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

It looks like David Von Erich has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Halfhand is trying to control Von Erich's posture but Von Erich avoids it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
