The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

And Metaxas responds with a good body kick, but Faria manages to step out the way in time.

Metaxas has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Faria can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Faria is sitting in close to Metaxas's body. Metaxas has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Faria is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Faria is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Metaxas.
