The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Serrano swats away the attempt to clinch by Modano.
Serrano is looking to counter the offense by Modano and move into the clinch.
Serrano shoots in for a takedown but Modano shows good takedown defense.
Modano tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Serrano has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Modano off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
