The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Peter Branson and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taus dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Taus thows a leg kick but Tureaud checks it
and Tureaud holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Taus lands with a light punch inside.
Tureaud lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
It looks like Melek Taus has been cut.
Taus misses with a hook to the ribs.
Tureaud tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Taus softening up his opponent with strikes, against the ropes.
Tureaud creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Taus throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Tureaud has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Taus manages to break the clinch.
Tureaud tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Taus counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Tureaud is breathing heavily.
Tureaud looks to clinch
and Taus counters with a straight right that drops Tureaud on his ass! Tureaud jumps back to his feet. He seems OK to continue so we'll get back to the action.
It looks like Lawrence Tureaud has been cut.
Taus lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Tureaud wants to clinch
and Taus counters with a nice uppercut that drops Tureaud onto his backside! Tureaud bounces straight back to his feet before we have a chance to even start the count. He'll get the standing 8 count anyway before we get back underway.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Tureaud walks straight into devastating uppercut and drops to the floor, clearly wobbled! Can he beat the count? 4,5,6,7... he's up! And he's down again! The ref steps in and calls an end to the fight! What a punch that was!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Melek Taus!

Our winner, Melek Taus, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
Lawrence Tureaud spoke after the fight, saying 'I pity the fool who thinks he can beat me. Admit it, fool, you are a cheater. Mr. T don't like no cheaters. You better watch out because I'm coming for you, fool!'.
