Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Victor Belfort (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sage Sabin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sabin is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Supersonic - Oasis. Victor Belfort had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Victor Belfort!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Sage Sabin!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belfort doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Sabin makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Belfort dodges the punch combination from Sabin.
A combination from Sabin does no damage.
Sabin stuffs the takedown attempt from Belfort. Belfort gets slowly back to his feet.
Sabin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Belfort moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Belfort dives in and scores a takedown into Sabin's guard.

Belfort is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Sabin can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Sabin's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Belfort is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Sabin to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Sabin shrugs it off.
