Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oliver Taquses!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Phil Schofield and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roberts gets caught flat footed, as Taquses shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Roberts is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Roberts trying to strike off his back.
Roberts keeping moving, preventing Taquses from controlling successfully.
Taquses is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Roberts is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Taquses thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Taquses trying to control but Roberts is working from the bottom.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Roberts wants to stand but Taquses is controlling the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Roberts drives through with a takedown into Taquses's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Roberts throws a big right hand that misses.
Roberts with a flurry of punches that miss.
Roberts throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Taquses bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Roberts's guard.
Taquses trying to control but Roberts is working from the bottom.
Taquses drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Roberts dives on top into guard.
Our spies down at at LOD: Top Team inform us that Taquses has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Taquses has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Taquses looking to hit a scissor sweep but Roberts is one step ahead there.
Roberts postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Taquses escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Roberts gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Taquses has momentary wrist control but Roberts slips an elbow through the middle.
Taquses lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Taquses seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Roberts is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Taquses presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Taquses has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Roberts clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Roberts is trying to shake Taquses off. He's managed it and has hopped back to his feet! Taquses won't be happy about giving up the dominant position.
Roberts scores with a takedown into Taquses's guard.

Roberts trying to control the position from guard on top but Taquses is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Roberts looking to sit in guard and control but Taquses gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Taquses postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Roberts is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Taquses, into his guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Roberts postures up in Taquses's guard and throws a big left but Taquses blocks it.
Roberts connects with a couple of short punches.
Roberts has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Taquses to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Roberts is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Taquses pulls down on the head and he's put Roberts to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Oliver Taquses!
After the fight, Oliver Taquses was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
