The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trabowski uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Montgomery .
Montgomery 's coach down at Pink Dolphin MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Montgomery 's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Trabowski looks to throw the jab but Montgomery is out of range.
Trabowski doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Montgomery counters by moving into the clinch.
Trabowski is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Trabowski goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Trabowski changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Montgomery fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jakub Trabowski. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Trabowski shoots in but no luck this time.
Montgomery tests Trabowski's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Montgomery sends Trabowski crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Montgomery is motioning to the referee to let Trabowski up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Montgomery throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Trabowski sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Trabowski shoots in looking for a takedown but Montgomery manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Trabowski's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Montgomery misses with a straight left.
Trabowski keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Jakub Trabowski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Montgomery stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Montgomery slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Montgomery feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Trabowski sprawling to the canvas! Trabowski rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Montgomery finish him?!

Trabowski is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Montgomery is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Trabowski with a body shot.
Montgomery fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Trabowski square on the jaw! Damn, Trabowski is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
