The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Ben Watson and Ron Honeybunn.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Choi gets the takedown into side control.
Choi landing strikes.
Wanderlei tries to buck Choi off but Choi is having none of it.
Choi lands some shots froms side control.
Choi definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wanderlei tries to get back to half guard but can't.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A lull in the action here.

Choi goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Wanderlei rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Choi's guard! Nice work there by Wanderlei!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Choi has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Wanderlei has passed into side control.

Wanderlei is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Choi has escaped the position, nice work there.

Choi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wanderlei on the ground.

Wanderlei wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Choi, who protects the arm well.

Wanderlei swings around for an armbar but Choi sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Wanderlei's guard.

Choi with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Choi controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Wanderlei has momentary wrist control but Choi slips an elbow through the middle.
Choi is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Wanderlei is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Choi frees his head nicely. Oh but Wanderlei has switched to an armbar! Choi is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
