Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Max Fawce!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Vaultz Gregorsin!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Dirk Anderson and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fawce bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Fawce looks for a takedown but Gregorsin sprawls well.
Gregorsin clobbers Fawce with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Gregorsin ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Fawce slips a jab from Gregorsin.
Gregorsin bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Fawce's head.
Fawce throws a head kick but Gregorsin moves out of range.
Gregorsin is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Gregorsin throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Fawce sees it coming and avoids it easily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gregorsin.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gregorsin decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Gregorsin prevents Fawce from improving his position.
Gregorsin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fawce. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Fawce has hold of Gregorsin's hands but Gregorsin slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fawce is pressing down on Gregorsin's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Gregorsin throws an elbow that misses. Fawce uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Gregorsin's guard. Nice move by Fawce!


Fawce drops back looking for a leg! Gregorsin is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gregorsin manages to kick Fawce off! Fawce jumps back into Gregorsin's guard.

Fawce avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Our spies down at at Gizmo's Gym inform us that Gregorsin has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Gregorsin not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Fawce in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Gregorsin is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Gregorsin is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Fawce is aware though and is defending well.

Fawce postures up and lands a big shot to Gregorsin's brow.
Fawce passes Gregorsin's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Gregorsin trying to hold on to Fawce's head to control him but Fawce postures up.

Fawce is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Gregorsin sees it coming and defends easily.
Gregorsin has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fawce is working away from the top position though.
Gregorsin tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Gregorsin tries to get to full guard but Fawce has control of the leg.

Gregorsin is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Gregorsin is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Gregorsin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Fawce doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Fawce manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Gregorsin looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Fawce has picked Gregorsin up and slammed him! Gregorsin can't keep hold of the triangle and Fawce manages to pass to side control!

Gregorsin wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Fawce has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Gregorsin's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Gregorsin is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Fawce!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Max Fawce!
Max Fawce gave a mention to After School Syndicate in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
