The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice inside leg kick there by Gullion. That's going to slow Zharkov down.
Zharkov misses the shot to the body.
Gullion swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
A slow jab from Zharkov misses its intended target.

Zharkov throws the left hand but Gullion avoids the punch easily.

and Zharkov counters with a leg kick.

Zharkov shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Gullion napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Zharkov in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Gullion wants to get back to his feet but Zharkov is dominant here and he's now got Gullion's back!

Zharkov tries to get the hooks in deep but Gullion pushed the leg off.

Zharkov thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.

Zharkov sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Gullion taps out!
