Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jaziah Maximus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Chosen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Summer Carpenter and Winston Howard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maximus throws a right and a left that Chosen avoids nicely.
Chosen fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Maximus looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

and Chosen cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Maximus tries for a takedown but Chosen circles away easily
and Chosen counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Chosen ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Maximus fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Chosen, pushing him back against the cage.
Chosen tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Maximus swings away with an uppercut that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chosen tries to break the clinch but Maximus is controlling the position.
Maximus drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Maximus turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Maximus manages to end up in side control.

Chosen sneaks out the side door and pushes Maximus away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Maximus takes the fight into the clinch.
Chosen is trying to push Maximus away but Maximus has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Chosen stalks Maximus and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Maximus's face. Maximus staggers backwards, shaken.
Maximus really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
