PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tim Sweezy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DJ Strawberry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Strawberry comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Brass Monkey kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Strawberry does it's job there.
The fighters circling - Strawberry throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Strawberry throws a series of punches but Sweezy moves out of range.
Sweezy walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Sweezy closes the distance and clinches.

Sweezy manages to break the clinch.
Sweezy gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Strawberry.

It looks like Tim Sweezy has been cut.

Sweezy has Strawberry up against the cage in a clinch.
Sweezy tries to pull guard but Strawberry won't allow it.
Sweezy wants to break free but Strawberry has control.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Sweezy.

Strawberry pulls Sweezy into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Strawberry has control of Sweezy's left arm, preventing Sweezy from doing any damage.
Sweezy trying to control but Strawberry is working from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Strawberry is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Sweezy trying to control the position from guard on top but Strawberry is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Strawberry pushes Sweezy off and gets back to his feet.
DJ Strawberry seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Strawberry lands with a shot to the body.
Strawberry closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Sweezy out cold! Sweezy corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
