PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between SB Yol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Graves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yol comes to the cage accompanied by Spectre: Scorpion Intro. Graves is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by London Calling. Alex Graves acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, SB Yol!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 20 - 0, fighting out of London, Alex Graves!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paul Aken and Patrick Alders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Graves shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Yol but Yol pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Yol stuffs the takedown.
Graves doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Yol counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
SB Yol has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Graves.
No luck for Graves with that takedown attempt.

Yol closes the distance and pushes Graves back into the cage.
Graves tries to pull guard but Yol holds him up against the cage and eventually Graves drops back down to his feet.
Graves is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Yol gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Graves is trying to pull guard but Yol turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Yol manages to break the clinch.
Graves changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Yol tries to avoid it but Graves manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Yol to the ground. Yol escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Nice uppercut there from Yol.
Graves fails with a takedown attempt.

Yol lands with a thumping leg kick.
Graves takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
SB Yol is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Graves.
Yol ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Graves blocks a jab.
Yol lands a high kick!

It looks like Alex Graves has been cut.
Graves misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Yol darts in and clinches Graves up against the cage.
Yol lands an uppercut.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Yol lands with a right to the head.
Graves letting Yol take a breather here.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Yol lands with a left to the head.

Graves is rocked!
Yol lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Graves to his knees! Yol keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). SB Yol!
As SB Yol got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: GET OVER HERE : Whooooopieeee'.
In defeat, Alex Graves stepped up to the mic, saying 'This isn't over. That was luck and we will be back to breaking arms and spirits very soon!'.
