Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Cassius Haye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wesley Perkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cassius Haye!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wesley Perkins!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Perkins looking to score a takedown here. Haye is defending well but Perkins drives through and ends up in Haye's guard.

Haye looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Perkins told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Perkins is pushing down on Haye's leg trying to pass to half guard. Haye is fighting to maintain full guard but Perkins has managed to sneak the leg through.

Perkins is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Perkins looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Haye throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Perkins postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Haye is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Perkins, into his guard.

Haye has his foot on Perkins's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Perkins works his way back into a safe position though.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Perkins is on top in guard.

Perkins stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Haye swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Haye is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Perkins is controlling him.

Perkins drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Perkins jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Perkins might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Haye haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

I've got Perkins winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After the fight, Wesley Perkins was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
