Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Davi Barbosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pro Dig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Luis Engracia and Alexandre Firmino.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dig tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Barbosa cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Dig is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Dig pivots, looking for a leg kick but Barbosa is out of range and Dig settles back down.
Dig misses with a lunging right hand
and Barbosa makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Barbosa bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Dig's head.
Barbosa scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
A head kick from Barbosa lands but Dig takes it in his stride.
Barbosa lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Barbosa.

Barbosa closes the distance and pushes Dig back into the cage.

Barbosa escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Barbosa lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Dig tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Dig closes the distance and clinches up with Barbosa, looking for a takedown. Dig pushes Barbosa against the cage but Barbosa circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Barbosa blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Barbosa's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dig fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
A nice combination there by Barbosa.
Barbosa throws a combination. Dig tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Pro Dig seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Barbosa looks to land a combination. Dig sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Dig tries for a takedown but Barbosa circles away easily

and Barbosa counters by clinching up.
Davi Barbosa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pro Dig.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Barbosa prevents Dig from breaking the clinch.
Barbosa's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
A frustrated look appears on Dig's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Barbosa breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Barbosa moves into range and clinches up with Dig.
Barbosa keeps control of Dig as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Barbosa pulls guard successfully.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dig trying to control the position from guard on top but Barbosa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Barbosa wriggles free and stands up.
Barbosa uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Dig has time to react.
No luck for Dig with that takedown attempt.
Barbosa is looking for a counter combo.
Barbosa scores with a body shot.
Barbosa shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Dig eats them both and turns towards Barbosa to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dig takes a body punch but keeps moving.
The fight stays on the outside here - Dig looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Barbosa shoots in and gets a takedown into Dig's guard.
Barbosa has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Barbosa stands and steps away. Dig gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Barbosa is working the combinations to good effect here.

Barbosa throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Dig is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Barbosa.
Barbosa's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Barbosa duly obliges.

Barbosa moves into the clinch successfully.
Dig is still on wobbly legs! Can Barbosa finish him?

Barbosa manages to break the clinch.
Barbosa throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Barbosa stalks Dig and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Dig's face. Dig staggers backwards, shaken.
Dig throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Barbosa counters with a left and a right... And another left! Dig is down! He's done! The ref dives in to save him and that's the end of the fight!
