And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hussein keeps the fight on the outside.
Fordig is looking to clinch but Hussein is avoiding it.

Hussein moves into the clinch.

Fordig's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Hussein scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Hussein wants to control but Fordig is keeping him busy.

Hussein is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Fordig has escaped the position, nice work there.
Hussein tries to score with some ground and pound. Fordig controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hussein wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fordig keeps working.

Hussein decides to stand up, so the ref orders Fordig to his feet.
Fordig really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Hussein circles away from the clinch attempt

and Hussein decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Fordig's guard.
Hussein trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Fordig is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Hussein should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Fordig is trying to hold Hussein in close to prevent damage but Hussein has managed to pass into half guard.

Hussein is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Fordig is not content to let Hussein control the position.
Fordig looks like he's trying to stand up.
Hussein throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Fordig wants to clinch but Hussein slips to the side

and Hussein counters with a single leg into guard. Fordig didn't expect that.

Hussein decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Fordig, up you get!

Fordig is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Hussein breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hussein fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Fordig checks it well.

Hussein works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Fordig is pressing down on Hussein's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Fordig looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hussein is one step ahead there.
Hussein wants to control from the top but Fordig keeps moving.
Fordig knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hussein on the ground.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Fordig will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Hussein stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fordig swivels though and keeps the full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

and Hussein counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Hussein.

Hussein trying to control the position from guard on top but Fordig is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Fordig is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hussein is controlling him.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Fordig is trying to keep Hussein in close.
Fordig will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Hussein tries to free his leg and advance position but Fordig is retaining full guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and Hussein counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Hussein is trying to control the action in half guard but Fordig is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Krammer Hussein has got the better of the ground game so far.

Fordig pushes Hussein off and gets back to his feet.

and Hussein counters with a single leg into guard. Fordig didn't expect that.

Krammer Hussein showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Fordig's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Fordig finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Hussein scores with a three punch combo!

Hussein has Fordig up against the cage in a clinch.
Hussein prevents Fordig from breaking the clinch.
Hussein is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Hussein wants to get back to striking at distance but Fordig won't allow it.

Fordig throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Husseins head.
Hussein tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Fordig smiles and moves away.

and Hussein counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Fordig!
Hussein looking to control but Fordig is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Hussein throws some wild stikes that Fordig manages to avoid easily.

Hussein jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Fordig is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Fordig and Hussein has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Hussein takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Fordig tries to bench press Hussein off him but Hussein keeps the position.
Fordig is trying to escape the position but Hussein is controlling the position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Fordig is not content to let Hussein control the position.

Hussein is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Fordig knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Hussein trying to control the action but Fordig is working from the bottom.

Hussein working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Hussein is trying to ground and pound but Fordig uses the momentary lack of control by Hussein to regain half guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Fordig lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Hussein sprawling to the canvas. Fordig follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Hussein hang on?

Hussein is looking to control Fordig's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hussein avoid being mounted?
Hussein is looking for a sweep. Fordig is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Zeus Fordig has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Hussein has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fordig is working away from the top position though.

Hussein looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

And that's the end of the fight!
Zeus Fordig showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Hussein has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
