Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Thane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and big phil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). phil has chosen blow me away as his entrance music. Marcus Thane has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
phil fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Thane decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Thane drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but phil manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Thane has phil in his guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
phil is pushing down on Thane's leg trying to pass to half guard. Thane is fighting to maintain full guard but phil has managed to sneak the leg through.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

phil moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

phil tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Thane paws at him with a jab and circles away.
