Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rocky McColgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Dantes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McColgan comes into the arena with The Gael blaring out of the sound system. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dantes misses with the combination.
McColgan throws a push kick but Dantes slaps the foot to one side.
Dantes tries to counter with a clinch but McColgan shakes him off and moves away.
McColgan seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
McColgan moves out of range of the strikes.
Dantes scores with a nice right hand.
McColgan connects with a nice looking jab.
Dantes takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
McColgan bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Dantes's head backwards.

It looks like Marcus Dantes has been cut.

McColgan lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Dantes backwards.
McColgan is trying to pull guard but Dantes has him pressed against the cage.

McColgan throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

McColgan swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

McColgan throws a lazy right hand but Dantes sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Dantes is looking to chop away at McColgan's legs.

McColgan is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
McColgan circles away from the clinch attempt.
Dantes misses with a jab, cross combination.
McColgan misses with a kick to the body.
Dantes chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before McColgan can pounce on him.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts McColgan, as that shot connected.

McColgan lands a big right hand that sends Dantes crashing to the mat! McColgan stays standing though and waves Dantes back to his feet!

Dantes takes a swing at McColgan's ribcage but misses.

McColgan fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Dantes looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
McColgan scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Dantes seems to have recovered his senses.
McColgan throws the left hand but Dantes avoids the punch easily.
McColgan sets himself, and Dantes steps forward looking for the clinch! McColgan avoids it this time.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
McColgan lands a nice looking kick to the body. Dantes takes a step back to recover.
Dantes takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Dantes takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Rocky McColgan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McColgan lands a nice hook to Dantes's body. Dantes takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
McColgan fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Dantes.
Dantes avoids the body shot from McColgan.
Dantes uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McColgan.
Dantes raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
The fighters circle momentarily. McColgan darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

McColgan drops Dantes with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Dantes looks back up at him and smiles so McColgan waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

McColgan throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Dantes.
Dantes dodges the punch combination from McColgan.
McColgan jabs Dantes to the body, keeping him at a distance.
McColgan is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
McColgan lands with a big right hook that stumbles Dantes - he's out on his feet here! McColgan follows up with another monster hook that separates Dantes from consciousness! Dantes falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! McColgan stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
