Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bryant Keith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edwin Lineker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bryant Keith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Edwin Lineker!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Anni Minnemäki and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Keith shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lineker as he jumps to the side.

Lineker gets the takedown into side control.
Keith is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Keith struggling a bit here.
Lineker is chipping away with strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Keith trying to remain calm as Lineker controls from the top position.
Lineker fails to land a wild elbow strike.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Keith is looking for a sweep.
Lineker remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Keith is looking to reverse the position.
Keith might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Keith avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Lineker.
Keith really is a fat lump.
Keith prevents Lineker from moving into mount.

Lineker looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Keith can't do much from the bottom here.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Lineker is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Keith knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Lineker has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Keith is trying to get back to half guard.
Keith takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Lineker staying calm.

Keith is looking to reverse the position.
Keith wants to control but Lineker postures up.
Lineker works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Keith is looking for a sweep.
Lineker in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Keith is trying to buck Lineker off.
Keith is looking to regain half guard here but Lineker keeps moving and retains side control.

Lineker working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Lineker takes a little break here. Keith wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Keith dives in for a single leg takedown but Lineker sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Keith has a takedown stuffed.

Lineker drives through with a takedown into guard.

Keith scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Lineker misses with a kick to the body

and Keith counters with a shoot takedown. Lineker fights it but they end up in guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lineker is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Keith won't allow Lineker to get back to his feet.
Lineker pulls Keith in close to his closed guard and prevents Keith from doing any damage or advancing position.
Keith looking to pass the guard.

Lineker seems keen to control Keith's posture.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Lineker manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Lineker manages to break the clinch.

Lineker throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Keith was covering up waiting for the punch and Lineker finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Lineker stays in close to Keith's body and controls the position.

Keith is working an open guard so Lineker takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Lineker.
Lineker is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Keith will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Lineker works to advance to full mount. Keith defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Keith tries to hold on but Lineker postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lineker wants to control the pace but Keith is squirming around nicely.
Lineker has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Lineker cracks Keith with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Lineker can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Keith is looking to escape.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Keith is trying to escape the mount.
Edwin Lineker has got the better of the ground game so far.
Lineker tries to control but Keith wriggling away.
Lineker with the ground and pound from mount.
Lineker trying to control but Keith is having none of it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Lineker has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Keith's face.
Lineker won't let Keith get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Lineker raining down hammerfists from mount.

Lineker moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Keith has worked his arm free - good work by Keith!
Lineker wants to lay and pray for a moment but Keith keeps working.
Lineker passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Keith!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Edwin Lineker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! And we move into the final round!


Lineker ducks under a wild hook from Keith.
Lineker misses with a few strikes there.
Keith tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Lineker defends well and Keith ends up having to push Lineker into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Lineker changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Lineker throws a body shot but no joy.
Lineker wants to clinch.
Lineker misses with a low kick.
Keith feinted with a counter takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lineker stuffs the takedown.
Lineker goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Keith fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lineker, pushing him back against the cage.
Lineker keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Keith's efforts to push away.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Lineker breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Keith lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Lineker scores with a takedown into Keith's guard.
Lineker missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Keith working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lineker doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lineker manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Keith looking to control but Lineker passes into half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Lineker content to control rather than advance.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lineker wants to lay and pray for a moment but Keith keeps working.
Lineker moves into full mount! Keith won't be happy about that!
Lineker lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Lineker lands with some strikes.


Keith is rocked!
Lineker looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Keith covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Edwin Lineker!
