The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gonzaga moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Johnson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gonzaga as he jumps to the side.
Johnson tries to clinch up.
Gonzaga swats away the attempt to clinch by Johnson.
Gonzaga throws a sloppy head kick and Johnson moves out of range easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johnson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gonzaga as he avoids it easily.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Gonzaga, right into the meat.

Johnson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Gonzaga walks away with a smile on his face. Johnson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Carlo Gonzaga has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Markus Johnson.
