Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carl Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Sekany!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Johnson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Johnson wants it to stay on the feet.
Johnson feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Johnson misses with a low kick.
Johnson throws a right and a left that Sekany avoids nicely.
Sekany moves in looking to clinch but Johnson pushes him off.
Johnson throwing a counter right hand but Sekany manages to avoid it.
Sekany is looking to clinch.
Sekany has a takedown stuffed.
Johnson is looking for a counter combo.
Johnson jabs at Sekany's body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johnson dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Johnson tries to work over Sekany's front leg with a kick but Sekany checks it.
Johnson misses with a low kick.

Johnson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sekany tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Johnson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Johnson is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Johnson misses with a wild combination.
As Johnson backs off Sekany throws a huge counter combo but Johnson manages to avoid it all.

Sekany drives through with a takedown into Johnson's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Johnson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sekany with a flurry of punches that miss.
Sekany is looking to work some ground and pound but Johnson has wrist control.
Johnson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Johnson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Johnson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sekany on the ground.

Sekany controlling from the top position.
Sekany trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Sekany uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Johnson.
Sekany throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sekany avoids the head kick by Johnson.
Sekany throws a fast counter high kick but Johnson manages to duck under it in time.
Sekany is looking to clinch but Johnson is avoiding it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Johnson comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Johnson stuffs the takedown attempt from Sekany. Sekany gets slowly back to his feet.
A counter left hand to the body from Johnson misses its target.
Carl Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Sekany.
Johnson lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Johnson.
Sekany fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Johnson avoids it really well and circles away.
Sekany looks winded!
Johnson scores with a jab. Sekany acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Johnson is looking to wear down Sekany with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Johnson moves into range and connects with a jab.
Nice uppercut lands for Johnson. That snapped Sekany's head back.
Johnson throws a leg kick but Sekany moved away.
Sekany blocks a leg kick.
Johnson wants to slow Sekany down by chopping away at his legs.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Johnson uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Sekany.
Sekany shoots for a takedown but Johnson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Sekany looks to throw a body kick
and Johnson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Johnson lands with a right hand.


Sekany is rocked!
Sekany takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Sekany is still on wobbly legs! Can Johnson finish him?

Johnson cracks Sekany with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Johnson has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Sekany to stand back up!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Carl Johnson dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Johnson lands an uppercut, right on the button! Sekany tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Carl Johnson!
Jake Sekany was interviewed post fight and said 'Don't make me throw a ball at you, you got lucky and I will be back. I never quit, I just get better...'.
