And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Taro Takaoka and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luciano lands a jab to Matasaki's midsection.
Matasaki misses with the combination.
Luciano uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Matasaki.
Matasaki has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Hard Knocks Training in the buildup to the fight.
A jab lands there for Luciano.
Luciano misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Matasaki.
Matasaki tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Luciano manages to circle out of the way.
Matasaki ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Luciano moves away.
Luciano tries to counter with a clinch but Matasaki shakes him off and moves away.
Matasaki throws a right hand that Luciano ducks under and follows up with a left that Luciano also avoids with ease.
Luciano counters with a body kick.
Luciano connects with a single shot there.
Matasaki thuds a left hand into Luciano's body.
Luciano tries a head kick but it misses.
Matasaki appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Matasaki tries to bum rush Luciano with a series of wild strikes but Luciano uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Matasaki throws a body shot but no joy.
Luciano just misses with a punch to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Matasaki scores with a hook to the body. Luciano takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Luciano stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Luciano wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hirusho Matasaki. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Matasaki takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Hirusho Matasaki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Matasaki scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Luciano moves forwards but Matasaki connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Matasaki lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Luciano circles away quickly and effectively.
Luciano only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Luciano scores with a jab to the body.
No joy there for Matasaki, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Luciano connects with a leg kick. Matasaki looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Matasaki misses with a body punch
and Luciano counters with an inside leg kick.
Luciano fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Matasaki.
Matasaki on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Luciano. Luciano obviously looking to wear him down.

Luciano lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Luciano explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Luciano swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Matasaki is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Luciano.
Luciano cracks Matasaki with an open hand slap.
Matasaki avoids the head kick by Luciano.

Matasaki moves into range and connects with a jab.

Matasaki ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Luciano moves away.

and Luciano counters with a solid body kick.
Matasaki is breathing heavily.
Luciano tests Matasaki's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Luciano thuds his right hand into Matasaki's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Luciano lands a big right hand that sends Matasaki crashing to the mat! Luciano stays standing though and waves Matasaki back to his feet!
Matasaki is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Matasaki throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Luciano raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Oh Matasaki is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Luciano drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Matasaki right on the button. Matasaki goes down! Luciano follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Luciano gets the win via TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jose Carlos Luciano!
