Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Reno Rawlings (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Herschel Pettaway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rawlings comes into the arena with Burned blaring out of the sound system. The crowd seem to be enjoying Pettaway's choice of entrance music: Empire State of Mind - Jay Z. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Herschel Pettaway!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rawlings pivots, looking for a leg kick but Pettaway is out of range and Rawlings settles back down.
Pettaway's coach down at Fight Club FC was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Pettaway's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Rawlings has his takedown stuffed
and Pettaway counters with a nice body shot.

Rawlings's corner calls for a 1-2. Rawlings obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

We've been hearing good reports from Rawlings's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
