Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, josh mccabe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tanko Enevski!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Enevski gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
mccabe trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
mccabe trying to control but Enevski is working from the bottom.
Enevski is looking to stand up but mccabe isn't so interested in that idea.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
mccabe pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Enevski is keeping the position for now.

mccabe has gone for a leg lock! Enevski slips out almost immediately though and dives into mccabe's guard.
mccabe is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

mccabe throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
mccabe is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

mccabe is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
mccabe is breathing heavily.
Enevski postures up.
Enevski passes into half guard under a barage of strikes.

Enevski gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
mccabe throws a series of punches but Enevski moves out of range.
mccabe tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Enevski swivels and escapes.
Enevski fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
The fighters circling - mccabe throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
mccabe has his takedown stuffed

and Enevski counters with a nice double leg into side control. mccabe won't be happy with that.
Enevski should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Enevski stands up.
Enevski shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and mccabe counters with a shoot takedown. Enevski fights it but they end up in guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
mccabe pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Enevski is keeping the position for now.
mccabe wants to stand and escape but instead Enevski has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
mccabe will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Enevski postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that josh mccabe will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Enevski shoots in looking for a takedown. mccabe tries to sprawl out of it but Enevski keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. mccabe manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Enevski decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in mccabe's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Enevski decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

and mccabe counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Enevski is lucky that one didn't land flush.
mccabe tries for a takedown but Enevski circles away easily

and Enevski counters with a nice double leg into side control. mccabe won't be happy with that.
mccabe is looking to regain half guard here but Enevski keeps moving and retains side control.

Enevski decides to stand back up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Enevski bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

mccabe tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
mccabe is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Enevski gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
mccabe gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Enevski counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Enevski.

mccabe throws his legs up looking for a submission but Enevski uses it to pass to side control.

mccabe is trying to get back to half guard.
mccabe tries to control but Enevski manages to take his back.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

mccabe is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
mccabe is working hard here to advance position.
mccabe trying to control the hands but Enevski won't let him.
mccabe looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.

mccabe tries to escape the position.
Enevski is trying to stick to mccabe's back but mccabe is turning into Enevski. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Enevski's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by mccabe.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tanko Enevski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


mccabe misses with a double jab.

mccabe shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. mccabe showed some decent athleticism there.
mccabe stops Enevski from getting back to his feet.
Enevski blocking the ground and pound attempt from mccabe.
Enevski scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but mccabe manages to mount him!
mccabe sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

mccabe wants to control the pace but Enevski is squirming around nicely.

mccabe goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Enevski is on top in guard.

mccabe has his foot on Enevski's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Enevski works his way back into a safe position though.

mccabe is looking for a triangle but Enevski pushes his legs off easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
mccabe is adopting a defensive guard.
mccabe's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Enevski would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Enevski stands and steps away. mccabe gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

mccabe is positioning himself well to prevent Enevski advancing to mount.

I would just about give that final round to Tanko Enevski.
I think Enevski has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
