The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dworshak closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Gaines quickly recovers to half guard.

Gaines kicks off Dworshak and gets to his feet.

Gaines throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Dworshak tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Gaines is in Dworshak's guard.

Dworshak decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Gaines, up you get!
Gaines really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Dworshak gets a takedown into half guard.
Dworshak is trying to control the action in half guard but Gaines is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Dworshak might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Gaines haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Dworshak maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Gaines could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Dworshak has cracked it and Gaines is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Dworshak!
