Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brendan Phelps (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil McKinnen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McKinnen throws a jab when Phelps was well out of range.
Phelps misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
McKinnen stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and McKinnen wants it to stay on the feet.
McKinnen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Phelps is looking to counter the offense by McKinnen and move into the clinch.

McKinnen looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

McKinnen has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Phelps uses from the top position.
McKinnen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Phelps manages to get himself to full guard.

It looks like Brendan Phelps has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
McKinnen throws a series of punches but Phelps moves out of range.

Phelps seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. McKinnen shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Phelps is backing up but McKinnen catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Phelps covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! McKinnen Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

In his post fight interview, Phil McKinnen started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
