Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andriv Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kru Thorne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thorne shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Silva as he avoids it easily.

Thorne has taken the fight to the clinch.
Silva is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Thorne pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Thorne misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Silva.
Silva tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Thorne smiles and moves away.

Thorne has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Silva throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Thorne decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Silva's guard.
Silva is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Thorne postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Thorne gets to his feet. Silva looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Thorne drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Thorne seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Thorne has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Silva has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Thorne off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Kru Thorne showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

and Thorne counters with a single leg into guard. Silva didn't expect that.
Thorne won't allow Silva to sweep him here.

Silva has his foot on Thorne's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Thorne works his way back into a safe position though.

Thorne is trying to trip Silva. He has hold of a leg but Silva is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Thorne persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Silva is looking for a triangle here but Thorne uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Thorne has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Silva regains guard immediately.
Silva thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Kru Thorne comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Thorne has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
