Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Drew Sampson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mahdi Zergo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mahdi Zergo will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Drew Sampson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mahdi Zergo!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sampson takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Zergo closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Zergo manages to break the clinch.
Zergo shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Sampson counters with a left and a right that stings Zergo.
Sampson looks for a takedown but Zergo sprawls well.

Zergo feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Sampson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Zergo drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Zergo seems to have locked his on tight now - Sampson screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Zergo, as he picks up the win!
