The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Steven Brown and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frost moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Good exchange - Ruiz coming out on top.
Frost drops his hands momentarily and Ruiz takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Frost takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Ruiz fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Frost dives in and grabs Ruiz's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ruiz pushes down on Frost's head and hops out.
A countering left hand to the body from Ruiz misses.
Ruiz lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Frost falls backwards - clearly groggy! Ruiz dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Godofredo Ruiz!
Godofredo Ruiz was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
