Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eldridge Hammond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Omar Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Omar Williams looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Eldridge Hammond!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Omar Williams!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Daniel Blasius and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Hammond avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Hammond stuffs the takedown attempt from Williams. Williams gets slowly back to his feet.
Williams looks winded!

Williams gets caught napping as Hammond dives in and scores a takedown. Williams manages to retain guard.
Williams wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Hammond manages to pass to side control.

Hammond controlling the pace.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hammond has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Hammond.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Hammond's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Williams is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hammond pulls his head out easily.

Hammond is working for a submission of some sort.
Hammond is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Williams misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Hammond is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Williams gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Hammond gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Williams regains guard.
Hammond is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Hammond really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Williams looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hammond is one step ahead there.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Williams throws a sloppy head kick

and Hammond holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Hammond has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Williams uses from the top position.
Hammond is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Williams looking to sit in guard and control but Hammond gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Hammond stands up over Williams, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Hammond makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Hammond is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Hammond's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hammond lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Williams can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hammond controls the pace.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Hammond with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Hammond misses with a takedown attempt - Williams sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Williams misses with a series of wild punches.
Hammond wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Hammond shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Hammond was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Hammond in side control lands a decent elbow.
Hammond controls the position.
Eldridge Hammond overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Further stalling from Hammond.
Hammond will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Hammond seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Williams for as long as he can get away with.

Hammond shoots for a double leg takedown but Williams sprawls well. He's pushed Hammond's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eldridge Hammond. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Williams shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hammond but Hammond pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Hammond wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Hammond connects with a couple of short punches.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Williams tries to bum rush Hammond with a series of wild strikes but Hammond uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Hammond looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Hammond controls from within his opponent's guard.

Hammond postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hammond is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Hammond decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Williams, up you get!

Williams has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hammond can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Williams not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Omar Williams has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Eldridge Hammond is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Eldridge Hammond showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hammond, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
