PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Wilbur Mack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Tyme (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tyme comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Here Comes The Money kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Mark Tyme has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Wilbur Mack's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tyme closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Tyme lands in his opponent's guard.
Mack wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Tyme manages to pass to side control.

Tyme tries to pass to full mount but Mack defends it.
Mack really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Tyme is just content to waste time from the top position. Mack takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Tyme not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Tyme tries to free his leg and advance position but Mack is retaining full guard.
Mack wants to stand and escape but Tyme is having none of it.
Tyme stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mack swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Mack misses with a wild combination.

Tyme shoots in and gets a takedown into Mack's guard.

Tyme is pushing down on Mack's leg trying to pass to half guard. Mack is fighting to maintain full guard but Tyme has managed to sneak the leg through.

Tyme working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Tyme seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Tyme seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mack does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Tyme misses with the combination.

Mark Tyme dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Mack tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Mack wants to clinch up but Tyme keeps it at a distance.

Tyme throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mack was covering up waiting for the punch and Tyme finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Tyme is standing up over Mack. Mack looks to escape but Tyme dives into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mack throws Tyme to one side and escapes!

Mack gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Tyme to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Tyme has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Tyme engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Tyme thows a huge punch but Mack dodges it nicely.

Tyme jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Mack manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Tyme is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mack has escaped the position, nice work there.

Tyme throws an elbow that misses. Mack uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Tyme 's guard. Nice move by Mack!

Mack wants to stand and escape but instead Tyme has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Tyme looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Tyme sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Well Tyme has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
