Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Janakoff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Markku Koskela (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vladimir Janakoff has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Marco Blurström and Arvi Lind.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koskela shoots in looking for a takedown. Janakoff tries to sprawl out of it but Koskela keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Janakoff manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A punch combination from Janakoff misses.

Koskela loads up on a big right hand but Janakoff slips the punch.
Koskela throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Janakoff's waist but Janakoff gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Koskela off to one side.
Janakoff throws a lazy right hand but Koskela sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Janakoff cracks Koskela with an uppercut from hell and Koskela crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Janakoff's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

Koskela is still in real trouble! Can Janakoff finish him?
Janakoff is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Koskela!

Janakoff is working for a guillotine from mount but Koskela frees his head quite easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Janakoff is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Koskela is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Koskela flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Janakoff anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Koskela and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Janakoff slips an arm under Koskela chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Janakoff has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Janakoff is squeezing on Koskela like an anaconda would it's prey. Koskela fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Vladimir Janakoff!
