Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ken Ewing (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Loke Asgard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ken Ewing had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 206.4lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Asgard misses its intended target.
Ewing has a takedown stuffed.
Asgard buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Asgard lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Asgard.
It looks like Ken Ewing has been cut.
Ewing is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Asgard shoots in and bounces Ewing off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Asgard would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Asgard works over Ewing with some ground and pound from guard.

and Asgard counters with a three punch combo that has Ewing backing up. Ewing nods at Asgard to acknowledge the strikes.

and Ewing counters with a nice double leg into side control. Asgard won't be happy with that.
Asgard pushes Ewing away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Ewing gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Ewing wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Asgard, who protects the arm well.
Asgard is trying to control Ewing's posture but Ewing avoids it.
Asgard is trying to improve his position.
Ewing prevents Asgard from escaping the position.
Asgard sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Asgard wants to get back to his feet.
Ewing is tying to control. Asgard wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Asgard rushes Ewing and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Asgard's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Ewing is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Ewing wants to control but Asgard is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Asgard decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Asgard misses with an uppercut. Ewing saw that one coming.
Asgard goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

and Asgard counters with a series of strikes. Ewing will be more careful next time no doubt.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Ewing throws a push kick but Asgard slaps the foot to one side.
Asgard swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Loke Asgard dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Ken Ewing's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Asgard misses with a two punch combination.

Asgard misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ewing feints and as Asgard raises his hands in defense, Ewing changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Asgard uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Ewing avoids the body shot from Asgard.
Asgard tries to close the distance and clinch but Ewing swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ewing slips a jab from Asgard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Ewing checks a low kick from Asgard.
Asgard turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Asgard closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Asgard lands in his opponent's guard.
Ewing pulls Asgard in close to prevent any damage.
Asgard postures up in Ewing's guard and throws a big left but Ewing blocks it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Asgard, as that shot connected.
Asgard decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Ewing works his way to full guard. Good work.
Asgard content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Asgard really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ewing. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Asgard wants to control from the top but Ewing keeps moving.
Ewing escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Asgard gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Ewing is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Asgard has his hands clasped together but Ewing extends an breaks Asgard's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Ewing.
