The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Santiago Holmes and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McPointface moves into range and clinches up with Alves.
McPointface with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
It looks like Ronaldo Alves has been cut.
McPointface could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Alves is trying to work for a single leg takedown but McPointface pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Alves changes levels and goes for a takedown here. McPointface fights it off and pushes away nicely.
McPointface clinches up with Alves and pushes him back against the cage.
McPointface tries a knee to the head but Alves blocks it.
Alves has McPointface pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. McPointface manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Pointy McPointface has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ronaldo Alves.
