PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Drew Sampson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tucker Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Drew Sampson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tucker Wilson!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Dillan Fox and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilson moves in looking to clinch but Sampson pushes him off.
Wilson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Sampson counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Sampson is trying to drag Wilson to the mat but Wilson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Sampson has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Wilson after a bit of a struggle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sampson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Wilson feints a jab promting Sampson to slip. Wilson then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Sampson slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Wilson lands with a hook. Sampson tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Wilson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close second round but I would say that Drew Sampson will probably get the nod.
