The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hyypia loads up on a big right hand but Vladimirovich slips the punch.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Hyypia pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Vladimirovich tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Hyypia's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Vladimirovich connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Hyypia scrambles back to his feet.

Hyypia is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Vladimirovich.
Vladimirovich with the counter takedown but Hyypia avoids it easily.
Hyypia tries to land a front kick but Vladimirovich steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Vladimirovich now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Hyypia connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Vladimirovich's hands.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hyypia throws a sloppy head kick and Vladimirovich moves out of range easily.

Hyypia throws a shot from downtown. Vladimirovich moves away and avoids it.

Hyypia tries to keep at a distance but Vladimirovich has taken the fight into the clinch.

Hyypia manages to break the clinch.
The fighters circle momentarily. Vladimirovich darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Hyypia swats away the attempt to clinch by Vladimirovich.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vladimirovich blocks a jab.
Hyypia drops Vladimirovich with a naaaaasty hook - Vladimirovich is in real trouble here! Hyypia dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sami Hyypia!
