Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Harlan Patterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Randall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Randall has chosen Promentory as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Dave Randall enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Randall shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Patterson's guard.
Patterson has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Randall has passed into side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Patterson has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Patterson enables Randall to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Patterson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Well Randall has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
