The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akdukadwengo swinging wildly here.

Ipa slips a jab and a cross from Akdukadwengo.
We've been told by Akdukadwengo's head coaches at Unlabeled MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
No joy there for Akdukadwengo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

And Ipa tries to counter it with a takedown but Akdukadwengo pushes his down on his head and steps out.

and Ipa counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Ipa wants to pass the guard but Akdukadwengo is keeping the position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Ipa works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Ipa slips a nice elbow through Akdukadwengo's hands, connecting with Akdukadwengo's forehead.
Akdukadwengo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ipa on the ground.
Akdukadwengo is not content to let Ipa control the position.

Ipa is working for a submission of some sort.
Ipa is keen to just control but Akdukadwengo is a slippery customer.

My spies in Unlabeled MMA inform me that Ipa has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Ipa has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Akdukadwengo is defending well but eventually Ipa manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Akdukadwengo has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
