The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Black changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Nunez looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Black fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Nunez has one of Black's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.

Black stands up and beckons Nunez to his feet.
Nunez slaps away a takedown attempt from Black, before circling back to the center of the mat.
As Black looks to move away, Nunez throws a big counter combo but Black just gets out of the way.
Horrible takedown attempt by Nunez or perhaps it was just good defense by Black, which made it look bad.
Nice sprawl there from Nunez as Black shoots in.

Black is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Nunez's half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Black is trying to control the action in half guard but Nunez is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Black is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

Nunez pushes a forearm under Black's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Black is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
