PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexandre Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chico Feijo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Alexandre Silva has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Alexandre Silva seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Chico Feijo!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Felipe Paraventi and Leandro Rodrigues.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Feijo throws a head kick but Silva moves out of range.
Feijo misses with a low kick.
Feijo pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Silva moves into the clinch.

Feijo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Feijo throws a head kick that misses.

Silva shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Silva is trying to control the action in half guard but Feijo is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Silva not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Feijo regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Silva.

Silva tries to stand but Feijo is controlling from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Feijo throws out a powerful jab.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Silva scores with a takedown into Feijo's guard.
Silva trying to control but Feijo is working from the bottom.
Silva wants to stand but Feijo is controlling his posture from full guard.
Silva trying to control the position from guard on top but Feijo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Silva working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Silva postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Feijo is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Silva, into his guard.
Feijo wants to pass the guard but Silva is keeping the position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Silva has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Feijo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silva swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Silva throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Feijo escapes and throws Silva's legs to the side, diving into side control!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alexandre Silva dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Silva misses with a head kick.
Feijo throws a head kick that misses.
Silva changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Feijo tries to avoid it but Silva manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Feijo to the ground. Feijo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Silva shoots in but no luck this time.
The fighters circling - Feijo throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Feijo tries to clinch but Silva moves away
and Silva counters with a slapping leg kick.
Alexandre Silva is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Feijo feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Silva's calf.
A head kick from Feijo lands but Silva takes it in his stride.
Feijo misses with a low kick.
Chico Feijo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Feijo misses with a hook to the body

and Silva counters with a single leg into guard. Feijo didn't expect that.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Feijo has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Silva should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Feijo has tightened it up now! Silva should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
