The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Katou on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Katou tries to clinch but Man is having none of it.
Katou fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Man avoids a punch combination nicely.
Katou misses with a wild combination.
Katou has been working on his boxing with his coaches at 10th Planet Islanders in the buildup to the fight.
Katou throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Katou closes the distance and lands a one-two.

It looks like Mutoid Man has been cut.
Katou scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Man throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Man throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Katou tries to clinch there but Man circles away.

Man gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Man breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Katou tries to clinch but Man is having none of it.
Man on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Man throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Man wants to slow Katou down by chopping away at his legs.

Man avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Katou bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Man closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Man escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Katou seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Man throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Man moves in looking to clinch but Katou pushes him off.
Katou appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Katou dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Man gets tackled into the cage by Katou. Katou maintains the clinch.

Katou breaks from the clinch.
Katou's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Katou duly obliges.
Man keeps the fight on the outside.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Man.
Katou on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Katou misses with a few strikes there.
Man misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Katou blocks a low kick nicely.
Katou half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Katou moves in looking to clinch but Man pushes him off.
And Man responds with a good body kick, but Katou manages to step out the way in time.
Man gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Man tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Katou is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Man buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Man!! Man is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Katou throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
