The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gardenia misses with a hook
and Taco counters with a one-two to the body.
Taco tries to clinch up but Gardenia circles away and keeps his distance.
Gardenia clobbers Taco with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Taco doesn't manage to clinch there - Gardenia circles away.

letting Gardenia counter with a right hand.
Gardenia changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Gardenia stuns Taco with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Taco dives in and grabs Gardenia's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gardenia pushes down on Taco's head and hops out.
Gardenia appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Gardenia connects with a looping right hand.
Taco has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Gardenia cracks a nice hook into Taco's ribs.

Taco is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Taco tries for a takedown but Gardenia sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Taco tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gardenia swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Gardenia fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Taco has his takedown stuffed
and Gardenia counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Eli Gardenia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Quiero Taco.

Gardenia bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
No luck for Taco with that takedown attempt.
Gardenia scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Taco doesn't seem bothered though.
Gardenia is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Eli Gardenia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gardenia pounces like a tiger and cracks Taco with a vicious hook! Taco is down but not out! Gardenia follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
