PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Donte Faulk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henry Hollister (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Henry Hollister!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Colin Fotheringham and Chris Edwards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Faulk looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Hollister has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Faulk finds it's way round the side to connect with Hollister's head.
Faulk throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hollister throws a nice outside leg kick.
Faulk throws a head kick but Hollister moves out of range.
Hollister chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Nice straight punches there by Faulk. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Faulk.
A combination from Hollister does no damage.

Hollister shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Faulk is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Hollister has hold of Faulk's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Faulk manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hollister looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Faulk knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hollister on the ground.
Faulk is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Faulk is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Faulk wants to control but Hollister is having none of it.

Hollister working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Hollister tries to control but Faulk wriggling away.

Hollister looking to ground and pound but Faulk is blocking nicely.
Faulk is wriggling around trying to escape.
Hollister trying to control but Faulk is having none of it.
Faulk takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Faulk is breathing heavily.

Faulk somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet!
Hollister bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Hollister gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Hollister is looking for a triangle but Faulk pushes his legs off easily.

Faulk stands up from Hollister's guard - Faulk perhaps looking for a knockout.

Hollister scores with a sloppy right hand. Faulk should have avoided that one.

Faulk clinches up against the cage.
Hollister goes for a takedown attempt but Faulk pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Faulk throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Hollister is looking to clinch but Faulk is avoiding it.
Faulk scores with a sloppy right hand. Hollister should have avoided that one.
Faulk lands with a right and another and another! Hollister is in big trouble! Faulk lands again and this time it's lights out for Hollister! A quality knockout there for Faulk.
